"Adobe Arabic" in crystal report exportation failed to PDF

Hi,

This question has been asked here https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1230707 , but without a final solution.I have created a crystal report in .NET with Adobe Arabic font. but when I tried to export to PDF an exception was thrown : Selected exporter does not support one of the features used in this report. When I changed font to Arial -> report was exported successfully. I changed also font type from open type to true type but nothing happened, and when I tried to export directly from crystal reports viewer to pdf, a new file .pdf was created but characters were like '????'. So what could be the problem? How can I export report to pdf using adobe arabic font?

The problem is that font is likely Licensed, CR will not embed licensed fonts due to licensing, you cannot distribute the font.

If you open that PDF file In Adobe reader and click on Properties and the Font tab you'll see the font has been replaced.

Use a free Arabic True Type font and it should work.
