Hi QM Experts,

In one of our user’s project, the valuation mode was manual. The user want automatic valuation. So I changed in Sampling procedure from manual valuation to attributive inspection nonconf. units. At this time the sample quantity has been deleted. So for the same sampling procedure, I have entered the sample quanity. But when I was creating inspection lot, it is taking sample quantity as inspection lot qty instead of sample qty entered in Sampling procedure. Let me know the solution for this issue please.

Hi Chandra,

This is SAP standard. whenever you change the valuation mode in sampling procedure, system will delete the existing sample size and you need to add it again.

Thanks

This behavior is expected. You changed the valuation to be based on the number of non-conforming units. That means you are looking at the entire quantity and you will record into one or more characteristics, the number of non-conformances. The evaluation at this point now has no relation to what you record for a characteristic value unles you put in "no. of defects". Some characteristics can automatically record a non-conformance for you. So for instance you might note a defect for a certain characteristic but you don't consider the unit defective and no non-conformance is recorded, there for the inspection lot would pass even though you recorded a defect.

So yes, I'm not surprised by this behavior.
