Integrated ITS published as INTERNAL just works locally

Hi all,

I have an issue with integrated ITS, SAPgui HTML works only in the SAP server where is configured, but when I try from another pc or server of the same LAN http://sapdev:8001/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui and does not work. This is not an DNS issue, I've tested using IP address intead of names but the browser can't reach the service.

I guess I'm doing somethign wrong, I don't unterstand the site parameters.

My goal is get access with html to SAP devices from differents OS.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Mauricio,

It sounds like it is a DNS issue. The sapdev host name is not in your networks DNS so it is unable to resolve the name....that is why the IPaddress works. If you are sure this is not the issue then please try to access a static file on the sapdev web server, like:

http://sapdev:8001/sap/public/bc/its/mimes/webgui/sl/images/statusbar/status_affirmative.gif

That should show a little green icon with an "i" in it. If not then please report what the error code is from the browser. Thanks.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your responses.

I've detected the problem, the windows firewall needs an exception to this new port.

I've fixed the port and now I'm able to get access from any device.

My issue now is that GUI for html does not support safari browser. But this is another story.

Thank you.

Might be useful to test the general ICF/ICM functionality in your LAN:

http://<server>:<port>/sap/public/ping

http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/echo

So in your case it would be:

http://sapdev:8001/sap/public/ping

and

http://sapdev:8001/sap/bc/echo

If these do not work, check note 634006 for further

assistance.

Hi,

Are you defining your services using SICF transaction? Have you tested them ok from this transaction? Try SICF_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL to republish them completely and try one more time.

Hope this helps,

Iván.
