Unit stuck in QI

Hi,

We have serial number managed FERT material, for these material we do back flush - 04 type inspection.

Problem is for couple of material stock is stuck in QI.

If we go in stock overview screen (MMBE) and try to see serial number with right click on stock then message comes -

"No object were selected."

If we try to do UD of insp lot system send following two error message:

"Stock data of serial number xxxx not suitable for movement."

"Serial number xxxx can't be used here"

For one case serial number status is "AVLB" while for other case it is "ESTO".

Please help to resolve this issue.

Dear,

In transaction IQ02 go to Edit --> Special Serial No Functions --> Manual transaction.

From there you can change the status of the serial number to AVLB. Once the status is changed then you can go and blank out the stock type.Then change the status back to ESTO.

Dear Tom,

It tell that the serial number movt is not active in QM, please ensure the 'serial number processing' in QM view.

In your case one serial number in AVLB status it means that no stock is posted to that serial number and it is in available status.

and second is showing ESTO means serial number is already occupied unit. In this case u post stock with 321 movt in MB1B along with serial number or in UD T-code> extras> serial number, here you assign serial number.

In both case (AVLB & ESTO) system does not allow to remove stock from QI & send same error message.

This stock are from 2007, physically stock already consumed but its lying in system due to this error. Even system does not allow to cancel document or issue doc, if we try then send same error message.

In both case at IQ03 stock type is already blank.

Hi,

In this case you have create new serial number profile with all optional entries in procedures. Assign this profile in Material master move the stock and make the the profile as before.
