New analysis period must not exceed maximum period limit

Hi,

I am getting error while modifying Analysis period and Hierarchy area using TCODE "KS02".

Error is - New analysis period must not exceed maximum period limit

Diagnosis:

You selected an analysis period extending beyond the period for which the objects was defined. This is not allowed in the change or display functions.

Procedure:

Use an analysis period within the period for which the object has been defined.

you can derive this period from the suggested "From/To" values in this screen.

Could any one help me in resolving this issues?

Hi,

the error message is correct, because a new analysis period may not exceed the validity. Therefore, you have to create the cost center with KS01.

e.g. cost center 1000 validity 01.01.2009 - 31.12.2013

you need an analysis period until 31.12.2014

so you have to create the cost center 1000 for 01.01.2014-31.12.2014

Afterthat, you can edit the analysis period in KS02.

Hi,

Analysis period is having validity.

For eg: Cost center ABC is having validity - 01.01.2002 to 31.12.9999.

But, when i try to change the hierarchy from A to B. getting the error inconsistent period. Used tcode - KS02. Also, tried modifying using okeon.

Can you let me know how can i change the hierarchy area?
