Scheduling a Process Chain based on a date field in a custom table

Hello Experts,

Requirement:
I need to run a process chain on every work day# 4 (WD4). I don't have the option to use factory calendar as it's not relevant for my case.

As of now, I am running it manually by looking at the date field in the table information.

So, need to schedule a process chain based on a date field in a custom table. This date field contains the WD4 date info given by business.

This looks almost not feasible but thought of checking with you here.

Could you please share us your view on the above requirement?

Many thanks for your response in advance!

Regards

Venkat

You can implement a pretty old solution for enhanced decision in process chain.

Then, you can write inside your own abap code (for example select from Z table. if date eq z table then run process chain. otherwise don't run).

    Hi Venkat,

May be you can make use of events for scheduling the process chain.

The event could be raised from a custom program calling func mod BP_EVENT_RAISE.

The custom program will lookup your sy-datum and if present in your reference table(containing WD4 date) will call the function module and raise the event accordingly and so your PC will be triggered.

    Just a rough idea.

    Thanks,

    Shadab
