ByDesign : In House Service - Direct Goods Issue process change

Hello Experts,

When executing In House Service Orders, spares are moved / consumed direct against service confirmation.

Due to this issue, all service order that we process (Either in house / on site) as On Site Repair.

We want warehouse team to issue Good Issue manually to have better control on spares.

Please guide how to achieve this.

Hi Vishal,

In the service order, if you have selected Location of service as Own Service Center. In this case, system automatically selects Item Type for the spare part as DIGI- Spare Part- direct goods issue. In general, the service engineer reports the consumption of goods that were directly issued while performing the service during service confirmation then system directly posts the goods issue. This is an expected system behavior in case of direct goods issue.

Hi Kopal,

I think many companies have control over stock handling using Store Executive (Open access to Service engineer to spares scenario found rarely.

This requirement is already reported on Influence Portal.
