Sales Orders - Variant Configuration sub-items not updating

We are having the following issue:

1 -- A sales orders is created with a configurable material that produces sub-items.

2 -- Later the sales order's configuration of the main line item is changed. If you back out of the configuration the changes in the sub-items is not reflected.

3 -- If you immediately go back into the configuration screen and then back out again without making any additional changes, the sub-items are now updated.

What is causing this? Have we missed something in how the variant configuration is setup?

Hi,

In 2nd point, you have mentioned that SO configuration is changed. Is this an automatic change due to dependency formula change / CU60 update by user?

In such cases, the SO configuration is not refreshed. In 3rd point, you are going to VA02 and refreshing the configuration and system will get updated.

If you have some other scenario, then specify in detail.
