Hi ,

1. Check what is start date in yours planned order it should be after the valid date of BOM.

2. HAve you defined lot size for BOM

3. BOM status should be active.

4. Mater data view of planned order is any BOM is appearing.

Hi Vishal,

Thanks for your quick reply,

actually i am just confirming the stuff that if the bom status doesnt have tick mark on release planned order whether system make planned order as convertible planned order or not, but in my case its putting the indicator on.

I do have all data as suggested by you except its actve.

but in bom status only field release for planned order should be suffient for bom explosion in planned order and if i dont select that system wont explode bom then how system decide to put the comversion indicator on planned order or not.

when you try to create planned order just press F1 on conversion indicator and see whether you came across this stuff.

Thanks

Hi Vishal,

one more doubt when we partially covert the planned order its get fixed means it cant be changed by planning run but where we can see the fixed indicator in planned order?

Hi,

Convertable indicator in planned order can be set through OPPQ in that "MAINTAIN PLANNED ORDERS" --- Click CONVERSSION button and maintain the order types .You can set manually in MD12

Fixed indicator is set when ever you create planned order manually or partically convert planned order. It can be set manually in MD12 t code Under FIRMING --- Click check box PLND ORDER.

But there is no relation of BOM explosion with conversion indicator.

Hi Vishal,

in OPPQ we define while conversion or planned order to production order which order type system should pick if we are not entering the order type manually.

see i found this when i pressed F1 on conversion indicator

"If the system finds a valid BOM for the planned order and if the release of the BOM for the planned order has been activated in the BOM status, the system automatically sets the conversion indicator in the planned order. If you have not activated the release of the BOM for the planned order, the system does not set the conversion indicator.

If the system cannot find a valid BOM, the coversion indicator is then also set, as production orders without BOMs, that is, without components, can also be created.

You can also set the conversion indicator yourself, independent of the BOM status, in the planned order."

so i am trying to test this i have selected the bom status which dont have tick mark on release planned order but still system is setting the conversion indicator on, I dont know why?

Thanks for your help

Dear Shail,

1) BOM Status must be active then only BOM Components will be copied to plan order

2) Coming to plan order details, Say for example if we create a plan order manually

then you can see Firming option in HDR tab, under this option there is field Plnd orders

3) this plan order field will be ticked for manually created plan order, and this plan order will not changed

by MRP in next planning Run, this plan is also called as Firmed plan order & you can see a Astrix symbol ( * symbol )

against this plan order in MD04
