Hi,
We initially installed SLD on our original Solution Manager system. Synchronization worked fine. In order to redo how we had our Solution Landscapes defined in Solution Manager, management requested we build a new Solution Manager system. A SAP resouce on site told us that the latest recommendation is to not have SLD running in Solution Manager, so I did not install a new local SLD on the new Solution Manager. The plan is to leave SLD where it was until we can get a new JAVA instance set up.
The problem is the new production Solution Manager. I suspect I do not have it correctly configured for automatic synchronization with an external SLD. I have not been able to locate documentation to do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Should RFCs LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI on the new Solution manager (PSM) point locally or to the original Solution manager (SM1) where the SLD resides?
How about the settings in Visual Administrator? Where should they point?
Thanks,
Russ
Hi Russ,
Use transaction SMSY_SETUP in SAP Solution Manager to configure.
And, also link below that gives you details

The plan is to leave SLD where it was until we can get a new JAVA instance set up.
If you were using a java based system for SLD earlier then i suggest you point to the same AND if you were to use SLD of your ealier implementaion of Solution Manager then point to SLD of Solution Manager.
I hope this helps you.

Sekhar
