MaxDB / SAP ASE Database, can we use it with HANA REAB?

Hi everyone,

we want to use the SAP MaxDB or SAP ASE database to replace the Microsoft SQL database.

We have the "SAP HANA, Runtime edition for Applications & SAP BW" License. So my question is, if we are able to use one of this SAP database with this HANA licence or do we need a new MaxDB/SAP ASE database licence?

I found a few informations in the "SAP List of Prices and Conditions SAP Software and Support deDE.v.7-2018" that MaxDB and ASE database is in HANA REAB included. Can we safely use the SAP MaxDB or ASE database?
