Hi,

I am looking for the interaction language.

We are working on the version on premise 1702.

We manage the email in 2 languages.

Where can I find the language of the interaction?

Link CUAND_ME_ME_ROOT_ID with CUAND_CE_IA_RT_MARKETING_ORCHESTRATION_ID corresponds to the default template and not the language in which the contact received his email.

I see a key in table CUAND_CE_IA_RT_IA_ROOT_IA_KEY

Does anybody know if I can use this key?

Hi,

If interaction contact has a language maintained "CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT-LANGUAGE" and same language variant is available for email template also then he receives email in his preferred lanuage as defined in CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT-LANGUAGE. Else as fallback option it should be default language of email template.

Thanks for your response. Do you mean that the IA_LANGUAGE should be filled by the language from IC_ROOT at the moment of the EMAIL_OUTBOUND Interaction type?

How should it be filled because We miss this information?

Here this field is never filled .

Hi Catherine,

No I mean to say Interaction language can be determined based on IC_ROOT. But if you also want to update INteraction language then please have a look at Enhancement Spot "CUAN_INTERACTIONS" which contains many BADis like CUAN_CE_IA_UPDATE, CUAN_CE_IA_IMPORT, CUAN_CE_IA_UPLOAD etc to u[date the langauge data.

So if you don't make an enhancement, there's no way of finding out in what language a mail was sent?

Take this case for example.

I go to a French shop and have a loyalty account created there. Because it is a French shop; I got entered in the database as French.

Then I get my first e-mail in Fench. I'm actually Dutch speaking; so I go to the website and change my language preferences to Dutch. My contact root profile will change to Dutch as well and all following mails will be in Dutch. But can you ever trace that the very first mail that I got was in French?

Hi Joyca,

This is really interesting case and based on my limited experience with SAP Marketing till now, I would say if you do not make this enhancement it would not be possible to trace the IA_LANGUAGE since SAP has provided the field language in CUAN_INTERACTION BO but not using it in case of IA created from campaign execution. You can very well use this field via odata API but not via Campaigns.
