Why in APO the product code has the Product Number and Business System Group

Hi experts,

In SAP ECC I have the MATERIAL NUMBER 000003 and the PLANT MPTU

When this material travels to APO by the CIF we get the PRODUCT NUMBER 000000000000000003@Z_GPOAM

This number is formed of the MATERIAL NUMBER plus Business System Group MATERIAL NUMBER 000003

Business System Group Z_GPOAM

Can you tell me why I get this PRODUCT NUMBER?

Hi Arnulfo,

It must be coming from BAdI SMOD_APOCF005 (EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_PROD_001). It is usually used to avoid conflicts between products from different systems but with identical names. You can adjust it according to your business requirements.
