Automatic Shipment Creation

I have a requirement for Automatic Shipment Creation. While creating the variant for "Data & options" I am able to enter a single Route. Business wants Item for 2 Routes X and Y should be in one truck. I have created 2 different variant for Route X and Route Y. My assumption is that batch job will create 2 different shipment for Route X and Route Y and during shipment execution need to enter same Truck number manually. Is my understanding correct? Or else how to handle this?

Hello,

Since Route is the Header level field in Shipment (Table VTTK), I would assume it is one of the split criteria.

However the two shipments (with same Route) can be handed over to same Forwarder who can subsequently load them in same pick up vehicle.

Hi,

Why do you enter a route in the "Data & Options" variant? I suppose the route is in the deliveries?

The route in the shipment does not have to be the same as in the deliveries. Also it is possible to combine deliveries with different routes in the same shipment (in the "Grouping Criteria" variant, use the "grouping" icon (which likes like multiple selection) and create group with the two routes).

You can still enter one of the routes in the shipment (through the Data & Options variant), but it is not necessary. Only if you would use data from the route (like stages).
