Changes in bom are getting updated after MRP

Hi All

Iam using material Bom for header material

Below header at level 1 there is material A which is made phantom in BOM of header material

At level 2 below A material X is available.

Iam changing component X with ROH material type with other component Y with ROH material type.

After that MRP run is done.

PR created for X is not firmed but system is not deleting it and in CO46 iam getting MAterial X instead of material Y.

When i remove phantom status of material A in BOM of header material then after MRP run system is removing material X and put material Y ( Once changes are made in BOM of A)

Planning file entry for material A contains explode bom tick in both cases.

Please guide .

Hi,

When you say changing X with Y, do you mean replacing the component in the BOM itself or do you mean follow up functionality?

I presume you're replacing X with Y, if yes can you check if you're replacing the part with the same valid-from dates? Also when you run MRP, keep the planing mode as 2.

With the above run MRP by keeping A phantomized & check if the component is switched from X to Y.

Hi Vivek

I am replacing X with Y. VAlid from dates are from 23-12-09 and bom explosion date in planned order is 23 June 2010.

When i remove phantom for A then i get proper result.

I have done MRP with mode 2 but result is same.

I have created new sales order but there are also i find same result.

Please can you check in your system and confirm.
