i am thinking if i post cost to both cost center and sales order, which one has high priority?
Here is the hierarchy for cost objects
Production Order
WBS Element
COPA Characteristics for sales order
Internal Order
Cost Center
Profit Center
These objects follow the real and statistical order based on this hierarchy. For example If you use PO & WBS, PO would be real. Same way if you use WBS and CC, WBS would be real. Hope this helps

thanks Anuponline ,how about sales order which is cost object
actually i have this scneario,i have one sales order which is cost object, then this S/O trigger a PO,then purchase cost post to this S/O line item, but cost center aslo derived smultaneiously from OKB9.now i found that cost center is real post, and S/O is statistical pose,
hi,
Cost center is always cost object, but sale order sometimes may not be cost objects.
if sale order is cost object , it takes higher priority and if it is not a cost object then Cost center will take first priority.

Dear,
Sale Order and Cost center are independent in structure...
A sales order is a customeru2019s binding request to an enterprise to deliver a specific quantity of products, or to provide a service at a specific time.
Cost center provides information on the costs incurred by your department.
Note: You will post the costs to the order and not to a cost center.
Hope your clear

Dear,
There is no concept called Prority over here. But yes your question is valid in regards of Real and Statistical posting.
If sales order and cost center both are posted in the same line item then Sales Order will recieve the Real Posting and Cost Center will recieve statistical posting.
Statistical posting means it is for information only so that you can perform any further activity to statistical posting like Distribution, Assessment etc. whereas you can do in Real posting.
