Error while reversal of goods in MB31

Hi Experts ,

When i am trying to reverse the header material in production order with movement type 103 in MB31 , i am facing an error ." Defecit of SL unrestricted use in sloc xx) . I couldnt understand the logic here .As i am trying to reverse the goods back into inventory , and using standard mvt type 102 , why system is throwing an error of defeict of stock ?

Pl advice . This is very urgent issue

Hi,

When you performed 101, the stock has received (or increased inventory). When you perform 102, the stock should be available to perform reversal. This is the error. "Deficit of stock error" doesn't mean system is trying to consume stock - it is trying to reverse and the same amount of stock should be present on the reversal posting date.

Check if the stock is available / stock is in quality / posting date is correct etc.

Thanks for suggestions . Actually i understood the exact meaning of error. The stock that was made gr for that order on that date was allocated for order reservations and dep req.so system couldnt reverse that stock bcz it is not free to use (not in unrestricted use). Whenever the inventory has sufficient stock. We can reverse the goods in MB31

Hi,

Please check Delivered quantity field in process order. If GR against process order is done, this field will be updated.

If you are reversing this stock, you need that stock to be in desired location , then system will allow you to do the activity.

Regarding stock in QI, you can input your material/Plant in QA32 , you will get an inspection lot which has an assignment of production order.

I couldnt understand still why there is a need of stock to reverse the goods from a production order. Reversal of goods doesnt need any consumption . And a small correction, the movement type i used is 102 , not 103 .

Reg the stock in quality inspection, how can i check if that is for a particular prod order ,if so what is the next step to proceed forrward?

Hi Sowrya,

Make sure that enough stock is Available in required storage location (As per production order goods receipt tab).Then try out the same activity.For more share the screenshots.

Hi,

Can you please check whether that material/batch is in Quality with QA32? If it is in QI reverse material document of 101.

If stock is in unrestricted use,Either reverse the UD posted or do reversal with 102 movement from the storage location where stock is avaialble.
