OSDB migration and R3SETUP to support Oracle 10g

Hi All,

I have a SAP 46C with kernel 46D_EXT on AIX 5.3 with Oracle 10g.

I want to do an heterogeneous system copy but the R3Setup that i have can only support Oracle up to 9.2.0.8.

Do you have any idea for me in order to do my export ?

Hi,

you may not use any installation CD for R3setup.

There is a special Download Archive to install 4.6C with 10g

46CSR2_7-10002583.SAR Installation Oracle 10.2.0

You can find it in the kernel PATCH (Not installation) section.

You might require additional CDs from the Installation Section,

but the R3setup has to be used from this extracted archive!

And the corresponding *.R3S files must be from this archive as well.

(which would be dbexport.r3s in your case

Hi,

Oracle 10g can be accesed using 9.2 client, in fact in the 4.5 and 4.6 systems I have upgraded Oracle to 10g SAP system were using 9.2 Client.

Is R3setup giving an error? are you using the Lattest R3setup for the version?

Hi,

No there is no error when i launch R3setup but it ask me to select my rdbms version and the choices are for oracle 8 or oracle 9.

I can't find oracle 10...

Yes, I have the latest R3setup of EXTD and also of EX2 kernel but same messages.

Do you have any idea ?
