DSO not activated after Business Content Installation

Dear Experts,

I have installed 0SR_QUODA, it took long time to activate & the installation was not properly done.

When I collected this object, no DSO or Cube is connected to it.

When I tried to activate the other DSO which became inactive, below message occurred.

Message: Object 0SR_BID01 could not be activated.

I would like to know the reasons why 0SR_QUODA is not installed properly and more importantly why the other DSO(0SR_BIDO1, 0BBP_BID, 0BBP_QUO) are inactivated automatically and how to activate them.

Hi,

Use the following Prograns to activate u r IOBJ's and DSO's.

RSDG_DODS_REPAIR Activation of all ODS Objects with Navigation Attributes

RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE Activation of all ODS Objects

RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE Activation of all InfoObjects

RSDG_IOBJ_REORG Repair InfoObjects

I got the following error while activating datasource through FM.

Error Message: The creation of the export DataSource failed

Diagnosis: The system could not create DataSource .

System Response: The metadata for a DataSource must be created while the export InfoSouce is being generated. An error occurred at that time.

Procedure: Consult the appropriate developer (function module: RSA1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE).

But there is noabove FM.

Kindly Suggest ASAP.

Hi,

If I am not wrong the FM : RSA1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE will be used in R/3 or CRM systems to activate the DS using FM.

I am not having details about this.But let me know why you are trying activate the DS using FM?

Use RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE program to activate ODS objects.

Hi,

Generally when you are installing the business content , it takes a long time to get installed.

Give business content to install at the back ground , generally it will take more than 4 hours.

even then if you are finding errors then , you need to install the business content patch level more than BI_CONT 0008 Business Intelligence Content.

Hi,

This may be the reason that some of the infoobjects used in DSO's are not active. So, first make them active and then install the required DSO.
