Dear Team,

We lost TMS configuration in Domain Controller and it is no longer available , and we want to re-configure TMS now.But before that when we try to delete old TMS configuration / modify in other systems we are getting "Action only permitted in controller system" message , but in our case controller is no longer available. We don't know how to tackle this is there is any other work around to delete TMS configurations?!

Thanks,

Vignesh P

Hello,

I guess in SE06 you can delete the TMS configuration (Perform Post Installation Actions. Afterwards you can start from scratch to setup the new configuration.

Yes, Agree with them... done it lots of times simply use SE06 and it will clean the TMS config

Juan,

Don't tell me that you have deleted TMS config in the domain controller even by mistake

Yeap... I had a 2 tier test landscape ages ago that I use to play with and used to refresh the domain controller every so ofter (too lazy to change the config)... 😄

Hello Vignesh,

You can perform these changes in domain controller only. Why don't you try to re create TMS configuration in domain controller straightaway without deleting in partner systems.

Hi Ruchit,

We tried that as well, created new TMS configuration in controller and tried to add the systems using update configuration but getting an error ,

Function : TMS_CI_CHECK_ACCESSTOKEN

Message : UNKNOWN_SYSTEM

System XXX unknown in Transport Management System

Message no. XT110

Diagnosis

An error occurred in the TMS communication layer.

System: YYY.DOMAIN_YYY(000)

Function: TMS_CI_CHECK_ACCESSTOKEN

Error: UNKNOWN_SYSTEM (XXX)

System Response

The function terminates.

Procedure

Log this system on to the Transport Management System.

If this error occurs in the function TMS_CI_CHECK_ACCESSTOKEN, then the TMS configuration was deleted in the SAP system YYY.DOMAIN_YYY(000).

Configure the TMS in this SAP system again.

Hello Vignesh,

Behenning has made a good point. SE06 is an option. For one system delete TMS config using SE06 (Post database copy option). Then add it again to the domain controller. Then log into the domain controller and do the necessary activities there. This is like adding new system to the exisiting domain. If this works out you can replicate it for all the other partner systems.
