I was hoping you could help me out with the following problem.
We have 2 types of components:
- Kept on stock ['Collective Requirements (2)']
- Ordered on Sales Order Stock ['Individual Requirements (1)']
They also want to consume ALL components on Sales Order Stock (on an other storage location then the Main Warehouse). For this, they'd like to use STO's to transfer Sales Order Stock from one storage location to another.
- Works OK for components with 'Individual Requirements (1)' (in MRP4-view)'. Those are received from external purchase directly into SO-stock.
- Does not work with 'Collective Requirements (2). These are received/kept on 'general' stock. When doing a 413 movement to SO-stock and then an STO to another storage location the system keeps asking for a sales order (even if it is in the STO-order).
What I tried is putting the latter materials also on 'Individual requirements' but then, the MRP does not consider the Unrestricted stock anymore.
Is there any solution to this according to you? How do other companies handle this?
