Hi Experts ,

Can any one give me a detailed explanation and concept of Production data structures and its importance in ECC and APO ?

Simple answer to your query is Production Version in ECC = PDS in APO.

Hi Sowrya,

Production data structure is a combination of a bill of material and routing information in the ECC system to produce a product as part of the production part. ECC production planning module can support infinite planning for bottleneck capacities, that is the reason this information called production version (BOM and Routing) or PDS transferred to APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) system in order to consider capacities with finite planning. PDS contains the input and output material along with capacity information.

ECC PDS transferred to APO system via CIF (Core Interface).
