Crystal Reports 2016 GetValueDescriptions() example?

My organization upgraded to Crystal Reports 2016 a few months ago and I came across this function while trying to remember how to list the friendly names of parameters selected for the report run.

Most links I've found online only say this is a new miscellaneous function, and to check Crystal Reports Help Online for documentation. The only Crystal help document I saw repeated the same statement about checking help online.

Has anyone got an example how to use this?
