Multiply the existing stock ( uom conversion)

Dears,

We have decided to use PCS as base unit of measure for all products to avoid any misalignments, but we have recently realized that for some items the unity of measure that we usually use it is wrong.

For example we consider a pac item with 10 pcs inside as 1 pc.So we decide to change the alternative unit of measure of these items in Pac using the base unit of measure as pcs.

So the currently converison rule 1 pc = 1 pac has to become 1 pac = 10 pcs. So we need to multiply all the stock existing by 10. How could we do that? We have tried to create new stock with the existing batches with transaction MB1C movement 961, but the work is to do manually so we risk a lot of mistakes.

Do you know if there is a simpler way to multiply the existing stock? I tried to use the denominator factor (X) in the alternative unit of measure, but I cannot modify this parameter for the base unit of measure.

Could we use this denominator factor to reach the correct value of stock’s conversion for pcs as well?

Do you know if anyone ever made it?

Thank you in advance

Best regards

Thank you Prem for your feedback,

but actually I can already see my stock in pack and in pcs adding the alternative unit of measure, it is not the case of differents unit of measure like pcs and kilo.

The point is that we want to change the conversion rule cause now is like 1 pcs = 1 pac, and will be 10 pcs = 1 pac.

To reach this conversion rule we need to multiply all the stock by 10.

For example:

now we have 13 pcs of this item on stock = 13 pacs

with the new conversion sule we want to see 130 pcs= 13 pac.

So how could I multiply the stock by 10 to reach 130pcs?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

You can implement CWM (Catch weight management) feature so that you can view the inventory in pcs or pack.

Thanks
