Packaging materials

Hello, i have a problem creating packaging materials and handling units. Actually is the first time i'm gonna use this SAP functionallity and i have read the help already.

In the t-code HU02, i put packaging material AAA and i receive message:

AAA does not have packaging material type and is therefore not a pack.mat. (Message no. HUSELECT 041).

What's the problem?

(is this the correct forum? Where shall i put this question?).

Hi,

You need to customize Packing material type

SPRO-->Logistic general > HUM>Basic setting-->Packaging material type

Assign this in material master.

Also you need to create Packing group .

Assign that packaging material type in packing group.

Mention this packing group in material to be packed.
