Problem in consumption or removal of HU stock in MM/WM

Hi Experts,

I am trying to remove HU based stock from MM/WM but I could not find any way to remove/ consume it.

Scenario:

Stock received based on sales order/ production order in MM and then in WM, which is HU based stock. The stock comes twice in the system but physically it is one time only. One stock entry has already been consumed.

Another stock is still showing in the system.

Possible try:

1. When I am trying to reverse it using MIGO-reversal, it is giving error message

"Data for creating a delivery is incomplete (Customer)

Message no. M7279"

2. Physical inventory is not possible in MM using MI01, as the storage location is HU managed.

3. Physical inventory is not possible in WM using LI01N, as number range is not maintained for storage type 999.

Please let me know, if there are some other possible ways to remove/ consume the stock or resolving the issue mentioned above to do the same activity.

HI karun,

Please try this method

As the receiving SLoc is HU-managed, the receipt

must be processed via an inbound delivery. For this to be possible

it is necessary to maintain certain default data required for the

delivery creation. The error getting in MIGO :

Data for creating a delivery is incomplete (Customer)

Message no. M7279

From the above, can see that system gives the error because default

customer is missing in the customizing. Please check that this is

maintained at the IMG path:

Logistics - General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Materials

Management -> Inventory Management -> HU Requirement for Storage

Locations and Default Values for Deliveries

Hi Ramana,

Thanks for the reply. I tried the same customization but after delivery creation, when I am trying to create TO, it is asking for storage unit and not accepting to create TO, without storage unit. I tried to put existing SU but still it is saying, it is already used and not allowed.

How to get the new Su based on the delivery.

Hi Karun,

You may try using removing the stock using HU level inventory document.

Use transaction HUINV01 to create the HU level inventory document. Plant and storage location are mandatory, you can use handling unit as additional criteria. Enter count (does not exist for handling unit and zero count for material) using HUINV03 and clear the differences using HUINV05. That should clear the stock.

Thanks for the suggestion but when I am trying to use HUINV01, it is saying no HU exist but in tcode LS26, it is showing the SU, which must be same as HU.

Check config settings like shipping point (Goods recieving pt) determination, Del type determination in LG-HU-Del-Delivery Type Determination, Vendor assined to customer in Control data of Vendor master etc.

It is obvious & self-explainatory.

3. Physical inventory is not possible in WM using LI01N, as number range is not maintained for storage type 999.

Maintain the number ranges
