Dear Experts,

I am implementing SAP GTS for a customer. While working on a Inward Processing we wanted to have Customs Registration number on the customs document and also the end date for that.

We do not have the communications setup, hence the process should be manual.

While looking for the place to add this information, we found a field Customer Registration Number

This field is non-editable in change mode and as far as I understand can only be update using inbound IDOC. Is there possibility to manually add the Customs Registration number.

And also where to add the end date for this.

Hi Pankaj,

I assume that if you are not implementing automatic filing at this phase, then filing will happen manually through broker.

If this is correct, you will have to develop forms for manual filing and broker will use print out of these forms. After filing, broker will share registration number. You will have to enter it in the system. You will have to customize these settings. There is Additional data tab in customs declaration that you can use and an editable field. This field can be mapped to your customs registration number field in Placement tab which is non-editable. Hence Customs registration number gets populated on the declaration.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the revert!

I am working in Sweden and implementing GTS for a Swedish company.

To answer your first question - We will not have any connection established with the Customs Authority at this phase. Hence, the question appears, when we have filed a declaration with the authorities; where do we save that Customs Registration Number in GTS system. The field is non-editable for us and as per help text, it can be modified using inbound messages only. Can you guide how do we solve this?

Hi Pankaj,

To obtain the Customs Registration number, you should either submit the Declaration to the Customs Authority (do they have a Test system?), or use the iDoc Simulator, if it is available for your Legal Regulation - you haven't mentioned which country you are working in.

The "end date" for the IPR stock is generated automatically by the system, according to the period settings in the IPR Authorization. I'm not sure why you would want to enter it in the Declaration.
