What is the difference between Leave & Absence Type.

Hi Experts,

What is the difference between Leave & Absence Type.

if so What are the configuration steps need to be maintained for Leave Types.

I have created Absence Quota type PL ( Privilege Leave )

1.

I want to take a persons working into account for determining his absence quota. Say for 24 days he gets 3 PLs.

For that I know i Have to put these condition in Generate Rules - Accrual Entitlement . But I dont understand how to configure the reduction rule for this.

2.

Also i Want the total entitlement to be give to the employee at begining of the yr and only to Regular employees how do I do that .

Dont get confused

Leave and Absence are same

Those are Recorded in IT2001 ex CL SL EL LWOP

we are haveing Leave Type , Leave Quota or Absence type or Absence Quota

Quota are given in IT2006

Can be generated thru RPTQTA00 or RPTIME00

One thing, Then why we have different configuration steps in IMG for Absence & Leave Type.

instead, in IT0005 how do we maintain Absence & Leave entitlement.

Correct me if i am wrong.

your talking abt 0005 leave entitlements right

as far as i know that is not being used right now

for maintain the absence type

Check the node TM>Manageing time accounts and Recording

there check Absence type and Absence Quota type

and check the previous threads you will get lot of threads relating to this issue
