issue about creating A workflow on IDES 4.7 system

Hi, all

I just encountered a prob on creaing a workflow template.

the error msg is 'Prefix number: entry missing for system BOB client 800'

How do I work this out ?

Hi Sowmya,

Just do One thing Delete the system BOB prefix number in Client 800

and reenter again with the same client number and prefix.

Definetly it will work,

Try to do this way.

Prefix number range ..you can configure thru SWU3.

Youu can also do it in OOW4 tcode.

Hi Nick,

This error is coming because you have not maintained the prefix number to be used for workflow ID generation in SWU3.

1. Go to transaction SWU3.

2. Expand node Maintain Definition Environment

3. Go to Maintain Prefix numbers and execute it

4. Make an entry giving a prefix number, SAP system name, client used and Package to store it.

5. Now generate Maintain Prefix numbers

Go to tcode SWU3.

You've got to configure Maintain prefix number in tree Maintain Definition Environment.
