0HR_PY_1 - deltas not working

Hi all,

I am using the 0HR_PY_1 datasource to populate the 0PY_C02 cube using standard business content. I can load data successfully using an init load, but the delta loads always return 0 records, even when I know a payroll run has just completed on the source system. We're using BW7.01 talking to HR on ECC6.

Anyone got any ideas about this?

Hi Mark,

Please check the technical status of your first init. See is ther any errors.

Gosh! you know what? When I checked the status of the init load, it turns out that although the overall status was green, the actual technical status was still yellow.

This was caused by a silly warning in the data extraction on the source system, and I didn't notice it because I only checked the status of the load in the Cube->Manage screen, not in the actual load monitor.

The yellow status of the load meant that the Infotype 0439, subtype 1001 was not updating properly to indicate that a successful init had been completed. This means that the delta mechanism wasn't working right, hence why I got no records.

I have now re-initialised the datasource successfully, and checked Infotype 0439 to make sure it is updated properly. I am now waiting for the next payroll run to check it's working OK.

Hi Mark,

Is the "Assignment of Payroll data to BW month" set in SBIW on ECC?

SBIW -> Settings for application-specific Datasources -> Human Resources ->Payroll plug-in ->Assignment of Payroll Data to BW Month.

yes, it is set, to "End date of for-period".
