    Hi,

I second to the privous reply, all SAP passwords are case sensitive.

As i have not come across a password that not case sensitive, including service users etc.

And the link you provided looks to be default page, if possible give us reference to the correct page were we can find regarding password.

    Regards

    Sekhar

      Hi

Thanks, but as per I know even SAP practice a case sensitive based password policy rather plain combination of letters, symbols & numbers. And that's why no body advise to set non case sensitive passwords in general.

    hi Venkey,

By default in ECC 6.0 password is not case sensitive.

You set the password policy as per your or your client requirement.

    Thanks

As far as I remember up to R/3 4.7 EE passwords are not case sensitive. From 4.7 onwards passwords are case sensitive.

    Hi,

Passwords are case sensitive now. But take a look at parameter "login/password_downwards_compatibility", I had to set it to 5 right after an upgrade to avoid logon impact to end users. I would suggest you test this in a sandbox first, in this way you can try different options and chose the one that matches your needs.
