Dear all ,
In SAP system whether the Password is case sensative or not ?
Whether we can set like no meed to bother password can be set casesensative or not ?
Pl guide .

Passwords are case sensitive now. But take a look at parameter "login/password_downwards_compatibility", I had to set it to 5 right after an upgrade to avoid logon impact to end users. I would suggest you test this in a sandbox first, in this way you can try different options and chose the one that matches your needs.

As far as I remember up to R/3 4.7 EE passwords are not case sensitive. From 4.7 onwards passwords are case sensitive.

By default in ECC 6.0 password is not case sensitive.
You set the password policy as per your or your client requirement.

I second to the privous reply, all SAP passwords are case sensitive.
As i have not come across a password that not case sensitive, including service users etc.
And the link you provided looks to be default page, if possible give us reference to the correct page were we can find regarding password.

but i have read in SAP library ver 6.0 passwords are not case sesative ?
