DMS with Documentum

Hi

My scenario is:

I´ll create a lot of docs type in DMS with status, lab/office, etc. But when I´ll attach one original (pdf, xls, doc, etc) these files must be storage in Documentum (storage out of SAP) not in KPRO, Content Server or database in SAP.

What procedure I must use for this case.

it is a bad idea. too cheap and it is needed high level of technical expertise. it is difficult to support and develop.

Hi,

Either try from data cariier set up or you can install another server thru CSADMIN

Hi,

You will need to use "Content Services for SAP" product shipped by Documentum if you want to link using DIR. During the linking process, Documentum will create DIR and polulate it with status, lab and other properties. Your other option is to use "Archive Services for SAP" product and use Archivelink to do the attachment. In this case, a TOA0 entry will be created instead of DIR. You won't be able to use the status, lab and other properties which are part of the DIR tables.

Hi,

Configure Documentum as your storage category through CSADMIN, then you should be able to check in and check out docs.
