How to activate dep area 01 in existing asset

Hello Guru's

User has created some assets in Production client. There is no depreciation area 01 for these asset in master data level. User is trying to acquire the asset. we are getting error message"There is no acquisition Dep area 01. I found Dep area 01 is deactivated in Asset class levle. After that we activated dep area01. So now we need to activated dep area 01 in existing assets. how to fix this issue.

Kindly help me on this regard.

Hi,

As per my knowledge we can't activate the dep.are which is already deactivated, create new asset with reference to old asset and assign depr.area 01 in new asset.

Hi,

If your problem is not related for 01 area, then it can be reactivated using AFBN. But in AFBN if you try to acitvate 01 area again it will not work, because it needs a base area for value takeover.

Create a new asset master with reference to the existing asset, and make sure that your 01 area is active for the new asset before saving it.
