Hi Kumar,

You will use strategy 40 if you want the sales order quantites to consume your planning i.e. as soon as sales order is created it will consume your plan. If you dont want to condsider sales orders to consume your planning then you have to go for stretegy 10.

If the production process demands continuous production even if there are no sales orders then you should use 10. Because you will always produce according to your capacity.

If you can and want to vary your plan as per current requirement situations (sales orders) then you should go with strategy 40.

Dear Venkat,

1) it all depends on client business, if client wants Sales order to be considered in MRP then we have to go

with strategy 40.

2) if they want sales order for only information purpose then we can go with Strategy 10

3) in case of Strategy 10, PIR's gets reduced

4) where as in case of Strategy 40 PIR's gets consumed be incoming sales order

5) on the whole it depends on client business to choose either strategy 10 or Strategy 40
