Dear Gurus,
I have gone through the threads but could not understand the how to perform following function. please also share some thoughts on role of Assortment Grade in Assortment & Article master.
Regards
Mradul
Hi Mradul,
Just Adding some inputs to Andras Answer,
Ex: You created Assortment X,Y,Z
and MC - (Corn Chips)
You have Article A1,A2,A3 coming under MC - Corn Chips
Lets Assume Grade 01,02,03
You Assign ( MC - Corn chips ) in Assortment X,Y,Z with grade 01,02,03
1. Assortment - X
Corn Chips - 01
2. Assortment - Y
Corn Chips - 02
3. Assortment - Z
Corn chips - 03
Imagine Grading rules is defined as ;
03 = 03 +02 + 01
02 = 02 + 01
01 = 01
Article A1 - have grade 01
Article A2 - have grade 02
Article A3 - have grade 03
When you perform Listing;
Article A1 will be only listed to Assortment X (Since MC - corn chips is assigned with 01) Grading rules
Article A2 will be listed to Assortment X and Y (Based on grading rule 02 = 02 + 01)
Article A3 will be listed to all Assortments X,Y and Z (Based on grading rule 03 = 03+02+01)
Hope this will clarify, So in your case you can restrict the Article listing to the assortment based on the grade.

Hi Andras,
Thank you for the reply.
Could you please help me understand what it (assortment grade & grade rule) actually controls?
How does it influence listing?
I am unable to make sense out of it.
I have checked in listing procedure is B1 & listing algorithm (Std) is mentioned with provision for Assortment grade.
Please help.
Regards

Sorry, forgot to mention one point: in the assortment (WSOA2) you can assign the merchandise category along with assortment grade - restricting the assortment grade usage to the desired one by this.

Hi Mradul,
I am not sure, whether this is what you meant, but have you tried the listing procedure 'B1' while performing the listing?
This will perform a check on the assortment grade as well - beside the merchandise category.
Assortment grade can be assigned to the articles on the Listing tab.
And in the customizing you can define assortment grade rules (or a new listing procedure as well, if you want to set it up differently than in B1 delivered by standard).
This is what you were looking for?
Best regards,
Andras
