CRM 7.0 Central Search: unable to find field label "All Objects"

Hi Experts

Do anyone know what must be done to see field label "All Objects" under Central Search in the header area?

I can see label like Accounts, Activities, Campaigns etc after label "Saved Searches".

According to SAP help, the All Objects entry only appears if more than one searchable business objects have been registered in the central search Customizing.

[Central Search|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/e8/60b3b80c9646d0af73ad13b52217a0/frameset.htm]

Since I can see other labels for more than 1 objects, why the "All Objects" label is not shown?

Would appreciate your help

Thank you.

Hello

In order to have all objects you will need to implement Enterprise Search. Central Search is searching from a central location throughout CRM objects only. You can surely add many objects/attributes to search on but again, this is only CRM objects. If you want to search across systems to ECC, etc. you need Enterprise Search.

Is a great starting point. Please begin there. You will need TREX 7.1 as well as some other pieces to make this work.

Hope that helps,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I'm interested to know if Search All objects performs search in TREX engine and not in CRM database. Also is there an documentation as it relates to CRM that can help to make application search(eg : search for opportunities) functionality to point to TREX ?

Thanks,

Ravi
