When i searched in forum its gives the solution:
cd /opt/omni/lbin
./util_cmd_putopts SAP <SID> DIR_LIBRARY '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run' \
to apply this command. but my problem is
I Cannot able to search for the file cd /opt/omni/lbin,
because we have the directory opt but " omni " file does not exists in tat directory.
Can anyone please help me for this solution
Thanks,
S SURESH
Hi,
We dont have any file named "omni " in any of the /opt directory, & the error related to some servers
We are taking only ON - LINE Backup through BRTOOLS , so i think omni concept does not work.
So Kindly help us in this issue.

Ok, I see...
you had the backup problem, you searched Google and found steps with OMNI... but you do not use OMNI, right?
so, your problem lies elsewhere.
to start out, does file /usr/sap/WRD/SYS/exe/run/libsapsecu.so exist? if not. go get it from SAPNET.
if it exists, check user permissions on that file.
Hi Eric ,
Thanks a lot .
Actually the problem was in the premission of the file system , then i have i the changed the permision of the particular
" libsapsecu.so " to full acess
Now the backup is working fine..
once again thanks eric.
Thanks

Hi Markus .
Thanks for the suugestion, but we dont have the problem in other servers , but we are using HP-UX 11.1 version.
i have searched for the forum too. but nothing helps , Kindly tell us the exact procedure for this issue to get resoleved.
This error message appears while taking the backup but after this message , if we proceed we can finish the backup
but with return code =1 .
We dont want tat return code to be 1 .
Kindly help on this issue.

Well - that doesn't say anything. Is the directory and the software existing on the other servers under /opt/omni?

The problem is apparently, that your omnibackup software is not correctly installed - or it's installed on a different path. This is not a SAP problem. Do you actually use that software to back up?
Markus
Thanks Gerd.

cd /opt/omni/lbin
Kindly suugest me wat to proceed.
Thanks.

Hi,
the environment variable DIR_LIBRARY is required for BRBACKUP to find library libsapsecu.so
please add/adjust the environment variable DIR_LIBRARY in <sid>adm's home:
.dbenv_<host>.csh:
setenv DIR_LIBRARY /usr/sap/WRD/SYS/exe/run
.dbenv_<host>.sh:
DIR_LIBRARY=/usr/sap/WRD/SYS/exe/run; export DIR_LIBRARY
.sapenv_<host>.csh:
setenv DIR_LIBRARY /usr/sap/WRD/SYS/exe/run
.sapenv_<host>.sh:
DIR_LIBRARY=/usr/sap/WRD/SYS/exe/run; export DIR_LIBRARY
hope this helps...
Gerd
