Error in Java Add In Installation

Hello All,

I am installing the JAVA ADD IN for already existing ABAP System ( ). I have encountered with the below problem while installing the SCS ( Central Service Instance) in Step 4 Execute Service(Install Common System files).

ERROR 2009-12-10 19:11:55.224

MUT-03001 Value of type HKeyClass has illegal value '0'.

ERROR 2009-12-10 19:11:55.271

MUT-03001 Value of type HKeyClass has illegal value '0'.

ERROR 2009-12-10 19:11:55.302

FCO-00011 The step setRegistrySecurity with step key |NW_Addin_SCS|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|5|0|setRegistrySecurity was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step :Value of type HKeyClass has illegal value '0'.).

System details:

SAP ERP 6.0 SR3

SQL Database

Can some one help me out.

Hi,

I just had the same error.

Check if your sidadm user is member of administrators group.

Use the latest SAPINST installer for this issue.

Hi,

I have checked the below steps initially it is set to Administrators group now i changed it to <SAPSID>adm even then i am getting the same error.

1. Add the <sapsid>adm user manually to the Administrators group.

2. Check the owner of <SAPSID>adm HKEY_CURRNET_USER\Environement user as follows:

Log on as the <SAPSID>adm user and call regedit.exe.

Go to HKEY_CURRNET_USER\Environement and right-click on it.

Choose "Permissions" -> "Advanced" -> "Owner", and make sure that the owner is set to the <SAPSID>adm user or to the Administrators group.

3. Log off as <SAPSID>adm user, and log on again as the installation user

4. Restart the installation.
