Dear Guru's,
Thanks first of all.
In our current scenerio in HANA Database
We have have about 6 TB of RAM.
How the sizing is being done.
In same server Dev, Qas & Prd systems are running and each has its own memory allocation limit.
If respective memory allocation exceeded whether system will restart?
Thanks & Regards,
Mithran
Thanks Bryan😊
Will check the document and get back to you for doubts.😊
Thanks & Regards,
Mithran

Mithran, if you have memory allocation limits and one of the HANA databases runs out of memory, then the database that ran out of memory could restart the services and will unload tables from memory to free up memory. There is a lot to understand about how HANA memory is used. Here is a good document to reference, it is a little old, but the concepts still hold true in newer revisions of HANA. You will want to make sure you have your HANA databases sized correctly to avoid this situation.

Having prod and non-prod on the same server is not a good idea, you have a single point of failure. It may not be supported by SAP depending on what apps you are running. Opening a message with SAP and asking what is supported and what is not supported based on your configuration would be a good idea. I hope this helps.

Dear Bryan,
Thanks for the inputs
Currently in a single server v running about 12 applications inclusive of dev, qas and prd. Recently v upgraded to Hana 122.20. All of sudden 2 applications are getting restarted automatically.
Our OS version is Suse-linux release 11 SP 2
Whether if OS version is not compatible to upgraded hana ot will result in such issues?
Thanks & Regards,
Mithran
