Pass in PM counter from SAVE TO CALL to CALLED

Hi,

I start working in PM counter and I have a problem. I have just created a maintenance plan with counter, the problem is that in the IP10 when the counter reading reach the valor, the status of the order is SAVE TO CALL, and the order don't appear to make. But when I save the document and enter again the status of the order is CALLED. The problem is that in the future I will have a lot of PM with counter and I will like that all the order, changes automatically the status from SAVE TO CALL to CALLED because it requires a lot of time enter in each PM to update it.

Do yo know if it is possible to do it?

Thank you

Hi,

It appears you are using transaction IP10 to schedule the calls? IP10 will schedule the calls with status 'SAVE TO CALL'. When you press 'SAVE' these calls are released and call object (the order) is created.

For a more automated method you can execute transaction IP30 to perform the scheduling. Normally this is scheduled as a job to run regularly.

Hi,

The scheduling logic in IP10 and IP30 are the same. What you have in IP10 is like a preview - it is showing you what calls are going to be called as 'SAVE TO CALL'. You cannot select which calls you want, it is all those proposed or none. On pressing SAVE all the

'SAVE TO CALL' calls will generate orders. If you DO NOT press save then none of the calls will generate orders as no update is done.

IP30 works in the background so there is no user intervention. If it finds calls are due it will trigger the call generating the required order.

If you need to control when calls are generated then look at the 'Scheduling parameters' in IP02. The scheduling period will determine how far in advance any calls are triggered. The setting 'Completion requirement' if set will ensure only one call is triggered - another call will not generate until the earlier call (or the earlier order) is marked as completed.

See SAP Help.

Yes I am using the transaction to schule the calls. So if I use the transaction IP30 to perform the scheduling, there are some way to only call the orders that their status is SAVE TO CALL, otherwise I must to force all the orders in a period of time to start inmediatly?
