data count difference between setup table and Extract checker

Former Member

Dear Experts,

I have a doubt regarding 2LIS_02_HDR data. I have filled the setuptables and extracted the data till PSA level.

These are following observations w.r.t. data,

1. The number of records at the setup table ( goen into MC02M_0HDRSETUP table) - 1204

2. The number of records at Extract checker (RSA3) - 1670

3. The number of records at PSA level ( BW) - 1665

Please help me in clarifying my doubt why i am getting the data count difference between setup table and rsa3 mainly.

If there is any internal mechanism behind this.

Thanks,

Anil.

Hi,

You cannot compare RSA3 entries with setup table entries. Reason is, both are having different structures and the entries stored in different format in setup tables .I think it is based on SAP memory concepts and from there those entries will be read and formatted using the extractor.

To check the RSA3 entries ,you may need to compare the base tables of the datasource not the setup tables.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Hi,

You cannt compare the Data records in Setup table with RSA3 Records. Because the Setup table stored records from different tables.the count of records are different with RSA3.

The RSA3 the stored entires in different structure formate.

you should consider the RSA3 entries are the actual count of records.

Hi,

1. The number of records at the setup table ( goen into MC02M_0HDRSETUP table) - 1204

It will store only Key with reference to tables data ,not data.

2. The number of records at Extract checker (RSA3) - 1670

It will display the actual data with reference to IDs in Setup tables.

3. The number of records at PSA level ( BW) - 1665

Once you load to BW becasue of some internal Routines the number of records will Change.

Finally you need to check the Data Values/Qtys are matching with ECC or Not?.

Thanks

Hi,

You cannt really compare the no of records between setup table and RSA3 because the setup table stores info about the records not the actual data records. The number shows in RSA3 should be correct.

Now if there is a mimatch between RSA3 and BW then check if you have any filters in your info package level .
