How many Items do you have maximal in db?

Hello,

when you have experience with db where is large number of items (hundred thousand and more), please let me know if user may work with these items in SBO. I have experience only with app. 50k items and there are some problems as:

- selecting items through CFL is slow

- standard stock reports ends with timeout

Customer where we plan to implement SBO will start on 50k items and every year this number will increase for app. 100k new items. Is SBO ready to manage this number of items?

If you have some hints how to improve the speed with this items, let me know (for example how to avoid the blocked items to show in stock reports, ...).

Hello Petr,

We have client that has about 150k items in their B1 db. The items are otomotive spareparts.

They did not find difficulties when choose certain item in the document except in the CEC. The system is very slow because it collects all items and do not disregard the serialized items or not.

the user is using symbol * near the item code, e.g. the item code is 171020000, then they type 17* and press enter.

Hi Petr,

One thing is critical for this high volume items setup: How many warehouses do they need? Just by Item Master along may not be as bad if they only have handful of warehouses. However, if they have many warehouses, that would create too big DB very soon. At least Auto. add all warehouses to new items should not be checked in this worst case.

We also having one customer who haves 1.5laks item in SBO, Basically wt we have did we use some query based selection or group wise selection items to select the items in Marketing doc's.

As u said if items are going to keep in increase in ur SBo means then u have to Increase ur RAM Speed as well the other things r there to increase the speed of the Server u have to consider that...

For stopping the items which is blocked in Stock reports , better u can use this option " Cancel "in item master data , so it will not show that item in stock reports as well in marketing documents, if u want back then u can use "Restore option"

Also while getting the inventory reports u have to use group wise ly, otherwise defin. sym. will takes so much time to fetch the data from sbo.
