Multiple jobs to one position

Hello All,

Can I assign mutiple jobs to one position ID?

I think this should happen but when I am trying to assign a new Job ID to a position(relationship type A007), it replaces the earlier job.

Some insight into this please.

Thanks

Harleen

Hi,

I dont think this is possible.. as only one job can be identified to a position...

Example for a Job = Manager / Worker / Executive

Example for a Position = Manager-Sales / Worker-Packing / Executive - Sales and so on...

I think by multiple jobs, you are referring to Tasks assigned to a position...

Multiple tasks can be assigned to a position but not Jobs..

Lets wait for other expert opinion on this..

Hi Harleen,

As per sap Standard you assign only one job to position,But techincally this can be..done i guess..try to change the time constraint of the relationship/subtype.

After changing the time contraint..you should be ableto assign, however this can be assigned only through Expert mode..as PPOME and PPOM_OLD only one job can assigned..

Can you tel businesss requiremnt why do they need this..

if they try to categorize the role..try to suggest to use in the reverse way means 1 job eg:(Manager) multiple Position (HR Manager,Finance Manager)....

Hi Harleen,

One job can be assigned to one or more positions. However, the reverse is not logical. Job is a generalization of positions. One position can not have multiple Jobs. So it is not possible to assign Multiple Jobs to your position. This is not allowed in standard SAP although you change time constraint of relationship to 3.
