Archiving and deleting of equipment master data in plant maintenance module

Hi,

Can anyone explain me the process to archive and delete the equipment master data in PM module using archiving tools.

I tried doing it thru t-code SARA, would be grateful if anyone can help me with the steps to follow to archive the equipment master data.

Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

    plz refer the link (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/b0/df293581dc1f79e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm)

you should use archiving object PM_EQUI and ensure they are no dependencies and if they exist then dependencies should be archived first .. the link can give u more information ..

      Hi,

Maybe the equipments which you selected for archiving did not meet the archive criteria, hence no archive file generated. Could you check the spool file for the archive job, it may throw some light on why nothing was archived.

      Thanks,

      Naveen

    Hi,

Try this it helps if your Equipment doesnt have active dependencies

    1. Flag Equipment for deletion.

    2. Run program: RIARCEQV on SE38 using affected Equipment

    3.Run program:RIARCEQA on SE38 to create a file

4 Run program: RIARCEQD on SE38 to archive.

    Hope it works.

    Thanks

    Vuyo
