Hello,
Can any one explain how to resolve this issue while posting of an invoice to customer in New GL. Document splitting is active.
I have assigned Cost center to the revenue cost element still i am getting the following error.
Account 800200 requires an assignment to a CO object
Message no. KI248
Diagnosis
All given account assignment objects (order, project) are defined as statistical.
System Response
Statistical orders or projects are ignored when FI and CO are reconciled. You must enter a cost center, order, project, or cost object to which the costs are posted for CO postings.
Procedure
Enter a cost center, an order, a project, or a cost object that is not statistical. The posting row affected is 001 and the account is 800200.
Thanks in advance,
Warm Regards,
Ranga.
Hi,
There is no need to specify any cost object while passing revenue related entry. While passiing such kind of entry system updates profitability segments & not cost centers. so resolution is just double click on line item to which error is coming, select the profit. segment. just click on continue (means you are updating in PSG segment), come back & save the entry. Entry will get passed in this way.

Hi,Aditya
Firstly, you may check whether you've started Profitability Analysis module. If you've started it, just as the message described that account assignment objects (order, project) are defined as statistical, so you should assign an actual object - profitability segment.
You can have a try and hope it useful. Good luck!
Best Regards!

You are posting to a revenue element. If you post revenues to cost centers, the values appear as statistical information only. Please make sure the relevant cost center has profit ceter.
Thanks

I have couple of questions:
At what level docuemnt split is active in your system? Profit center, segment or else.
Why do you want to assign cost center to revenue cost element?
If I go as per my understanding you need to add the doc. split object in the revenue (800200) line item. For example if your split is at profit center level then you need to add the profit center in the revenue line so that system can derive the PC in the corresponding line. In your case it is Customer line. Hope this helps.

You may want to set up a default cost assignment in OKB9.
