Accessing KM Folder: BEx Portfolio

I can currently Broadcast to Portal "My Portfolio" and access the object using an URL similar to

http://PortalServer:50000/irj/go/km/docs/BIuserhome/USERID/

How do I access the "BEx Portfolio" - Public Documents as a web folder? I want access to the documents sent to the portal via BEx Broadcaster. What is the URL for accessing this KM folder?

Hi Mario,

Go to the Portal Main Page >>> Content Administration >>> KM Content >>> documents >>> Public Documents

Call the context menu on it and select the context menu item "Details", this opens up a dialog window and here you can see "Settings" menu and from its context menu select "Properties" >>> "Access Links" to see the URL through which you can simply access it from where ever as you like...

Or else you can also use "Create Link" from the context menu to do this...

Couple questions:

1) I'm not seeing this below. can you be more specific?

2) Can the links be edited?

3) Can I modify the link address of this?

when I create from the portal I get:

<PORTAL_NAVIGATION>ROLES://portal_content/com.mycompany/production/roles/com.mycompany.production.roles.blah.blah.blah

when I create from the qry designer I get:

<PORTAL_NAVIGATION>pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bex?BOOKMARK=4GRL1GPGWEL4LZ2MDRVUAKVRH

4) If tis is edited locally what application do I use?

Hi Michael Hill,

You can see a "Public Documents" context menu entry "Create Link", selecting this will take you to the desired locations page where you can choose the folder in which you want to create a link to the item "Public Documents".

All the other queries I can say that altering is not possible because the links are created by the applications and so this is not possible to change, even though you cahnge these links I don't think that this will work as expected.

If I could edit the link I don't see why it would not work.

Here is the scenario:

I have a role structure like:

Rolea -> My_very_long_name_of_Foldera -> Qryxyz

I make a change (for whatever reason) to:

Rolea ->Flda -> Qryxyz

So if I edit that link and just make that url change it should function fine. If I make the change is now UN-USEABLE, and if I edit it and fix the url it shuld function fine.

That is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a way to access to the files in the repository by creating a web folder on my desktop. On the windows side, it is creating a network location or folder. This is done by providing an URL.

I can access the above-mentioned URL without any problems. I'm looking for the URL to the public BEx documents in the KM repository.
