Dear Experts,
As per my knowledge we have 3 servers (development, testing, & Production) servers, where development server is used for various configuration and custimization settings, testing server is used to test various scenarios, production server is actually used by the end users and all the chages are shifted from testing to production server.. this is my understanding about this three servers.
But i have also heard of "Sandbox Server", "Golden Client"
Can any body please try to clear my concept.
Regards.
Hello Gabriel,
a sandbox server is a system and it's software (SAP) is shielded from the rest of the system. So testing and trying or any activities do no harm and, secondly, the effects of the software can be recorded.
The sandbox has the function of a "stand alone" test field visit. This will reduce the fear of the inexperienced users and thus provides a psychologically important component of learning and self-promotional dar.
Golden client is the productive client in SAP system landscape - as far as I know.....
Best regards
Horst
