yes, it takes into account the safety stock in netting.

Check: planing process-> Net req Calculation->Net Requirements Calculation for MRP

hi ,

Hi ,

Type of planning in Material requirement planning -PD which defines the type of procuring or manufacturing

the material . The other type is consumption based planning based on statistical Forcasting and

consumption requirement will be created . Here in MRP - ie PD you can have requirements unfirmed .

depending upon the type you are selecting M1, M2,M3,M4 - You will have firmed PIR ie requirement

will not change automatically over a period if you re-run MRP . It will take requirements from sales order

and generate Planned order ( If the procurement is E ) or purchase requisition if the procurement is F

in case of procurement ' X ' it will check for stock if stock is there sales order will consume the stock

otherwise depending on the procurement it will give output in the case of MTO and PIR will be generated

from Demand management .

If it is MTS - Make to stock system will generate PIR and will be converted into planned order if the MRP

type is PD.

so PD will immediately see the procurement type of material and generate requirements for the demand.
