In 3.x - an export datasource works just like any other datasource except that it is created on the change log - the delta pointer for the same is the last request updated using delta.
Generate Export DS is used to load the Data from DSO to DSO or Cube to CUBE.But this is in 3.x version only.In BI 7.0 we are not using this process.We will directly upload the data into targets using DTP.
