Unabel to assign the Rental contract to Service Notification

Hi ,

I have created a rental contract at VA41 - doc type MV and try to assign in a service notification.

System is giving an error

No cost management is provided for sales document item 40000031 000010

Message no. IX057

Diagnosis

You have tried to assign a sales document item to the service order for which no item costing management is provided.

System Response

Such items can not be entered for service orders.

Procedure

Check your entries. Check the sales document item

I feel I have missed out some config setting. Can anyone help me out?

This is usually because there is no requirements type assigned to the contract item (see procurement tab).

Check the "transfer of requirements" settings against your contract (SD IMG)

I have missed out some configurationa at Item Category assignment . Its working fine.
